Betty's Place is run by Roy Barretto & Rosario Barretto, and are well supported by more than 30 qualified staff. We have professional chefs who are expert in their respective cuisines. Though our main specialty is fresh sea food, we also provide a wide range of Indian, Chinese & Continental dishes. Our Indian tandoor dishes are another favorite among our guests.

Betty's Place started as a small "beach shack" in 1992. However, the single-minded dedication and adherence to strict quality ensured that word-of-mouth quickly spread around. Very soon, Betty's Place became a popular dining place for tourists staying in nearby 5-star hotels. Today, Betty's Place is featured in many travel websites, and the list is growing every day.

Not content on providing a fine dining experience, Betty's Place quickly diversified into other areas to provide additional facilities to the visitors. Roy came up with the idea of investing in a boat that could be used to cruise around in the river. He personally designed the boat with a capacity of 20 passengers. Needless to say, the beauty of River Sal made this idea a hit from day one.

Today, Betty's Cruise is unique and considered one of the best deals for the visitors. The boat has been expanded to accommodate 40 passengers with a washroom and a kitchen on board.  Roy soon added another boat for those visitors wishing to enjoy the serenity of some of the secluded beaches found nearby. He called his idea "The great escape". Another great idea.

The popularity of Betty's Place means that our clientele is no longer restricted to the guests from the nearby 5-star hotels. Once you come to our place, you are hooked for life. Some of our guests travel more than 50 kilometers just for the dining experience.
